Eye test camp at Alandi gets enthusiastic response
Alandi : Shree Guru Sakhare Maharaj Prasadik Grantharaj Shree Dnyaneshwar Satsang Mandal and National Institute of Ophthalmology, Pune, in association with Shreemadurjit Seva Kendra, Chowiswadi, Alandi, organized a free eye testing camp at Alandi on 24th March 2015. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Narendra Vaidya of Lokmanya hospital. The event was graced by Ha.Bha.Pa. Kisanmaharaj Sakhare, Shri. Rohidas Tapkir, Alandi, Dr. Shrikrishna Joshi, Shri. Uttam Alhat ñ Corporator, PCMC and Shri. Bapu Alhat, a progressive farmer.
About 350 patients were examined at the event. Forty patients under poverty line who were diagnosed with either cataract or glaucoma will get free surgery done at the National Institute of Ophthalmology. An informative display at the event educated people on how to protect the eyes while driving. Eight participants at the camp resolved to donate eyes. Dr. Swapnil More, Dr. Sampada Chitale, Dr. Manas Deshmukh ad Dr. Asmita Taralekar did the eye check up. Hon. Sachindada Landge, Dr.Vilas Jog, CA. Mukund Mahashabde and Anand Lavate were present at the concluding session. The event was managed by Shri. Yashodhan Sakhare and Shri. Chidambareshwar Sakhare.
