Dr. Jai Kelkar is a distinguished pediatric ophthalmologist and Medical Director at the National Institute of Ophthalmology, Pune, a leading tertiary eye care, teaching, and research institute. She specializes in pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus surgery, and advanced cataract surgery, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, academic leadership, and community eye care.

She completed her MBBS from Pune, followed by postgraduate training in ophthalmology (DOMS, FCPS) and DNB. She pursued an International Council of Ophthalmology Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at UZ Ghent, Belgium. She holds prestigious international qualifications including FRCS (Glasgow), FRCOphth (London), and FACS, and serves as an Examiner for the FRCS (Glasgow), recognizing her international academic standing.
