Abstract Submission

General Guidelines for Abstract Submission

  • Each author may submit up to two abstracts per category.
  • A maximum of three co-authors is permitted per submission.
  • All abstracts must be written in English and should avoid the use of capitals except where grammatically necessary.
  • Submissions must be original and unpublished.

Presenter Registration & Accommodation

  • Accepted abstracts will be eligible for complimentary conference registration.
  • Accommodation will be provided to presenting authors residing outside Pune, subject to availability and prior confirmation.
  • Travel expenses will not be covered.

Branding & Trade Names

  • Logos, institutional branding, or company representation must not be included.
  • Trade names of drugs, instruments, or devices should be avoided; generic names only must be used.

Patient Privacy & Ethics

  • All images and videos must be fully de-identified.
  • Patient identifiers, facial features, hospital names, or registration numbers must not be visible.
  • Written informed patient consent is mandatory for all submissions.

Content Expectations

  • Submissions should focus on practical, educational, and clinically relevant vitreoretinal topics.
  • Emphasis should be on clinical decision-making, surgical challenges, innovations, or outcomes.
  • Content previously presented at other national or international meetings is discouraged.

Review & Selection Process

Abstracts will be reviewed based on:

  • Originality
  • Clinical relevance
  • Educational value
  • Clarity
  • Adherence to submission guidelines

Entries not complying with ethical or formatting standards will not be considered.

Guidlines For Free Paper / Case Presentation

Abstracts must be structured under the following headings:

  • Title of the Abstract
  • Case History / Summary
  • Diagnostic / Management / Surgical Challenge
  • Your Approach and Rationale
  • Two Questions for the Panel
  • Kindly avoid discussion of literature or references in the abstract.
  • Submit cases with adequate documentation, high-quality images, and reasonable follow-up.
  • Complete case details may be requested prior to final selection.
  • Maximum presentation duration: 4 minutes.
